From enterprise models to scheduling models: bridging the gap
نویسندگان
چکیده
Enterprise models cover all aspects of modern enterprises, from accounting, through management of custom orders and invoicing, to operational data such as records on machines and workers. In other words, all data necessary for running the company are available in enterprise models. The problem is that these data are not in the proper format for some tasks such as scheduling and optimization. This paper deals with the automated translation of data from the enterprise model to a scheduling model and back. In particular, we describe how to extract data from the enterprise model for solving the scheduling problem using constraint-based solvers.

متن کاملMeta-model Patterns for Expressing Relationships Between Organization Model Concepts and Software Implementation Concepts
The abstraction gap between organization models and models of software artifacts is of fundamental ontological nature, and bridging this gap cannot be achieved with solutions located either on the technological abstraction level or on the conceptual level separately. The work presented in this article describes a meta-model based approach to explicate design decisions on how to map conceptual o...
متن کاملMILP models and valid inequalities for the two-machine permutation flowshop scheduling problem with minimal time lags
In this paper, we consider the problem of scheduling on two-machine permutation flowshop with minimal time lags between consecutive operations of each job. The aim is to find a feasible schedule that minimizes the total tardiness. This problem is known to be NP-hard in the strong sense. We propose two mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) models and two types of valid inequalities which aim t...
